About the Course*
Created by Chris Wallace as part of the Digital Futures course for the MSc in Digital Education, ‘Visibility and Trust in Digital Learning Futures’ is for postgraduate students of education and professional educators who are interested in the future trajectories of education, specifically with regard to technologies and the use of big data.
The aim of this resource is to outline and explore issues related to visibility, privacy and trust in digital learning spaces. The resource is not intended to resolve these issues, but instead to stimulate you, as an educator, to consider these issues as part of your teaching and learning design.
The resource includes:
- An introduction, where you are invited to consider an initial question related to the section focus.
- A fictional story from the future, which explores and exemplifies the key concepts of the section.
- A discussion of key concepts related to the section focus.

The University worked with Atkins Realis, Bennetts Associates and Balfour Beatty, to restore and revitalise the former building. The Institute unites modern design with historic architecture, including a public square with café, exhibition and performance spaces, plus new access points from Middle Meadow Walk, bringing benefits to the local community. The former hospital’s wide and airy Nightingale Wards have been retained and are now reused as teaching and workspaces
